An Independent That Free Thing Review – A Real Opportunity?

If you are checking out the That Free Thing opportunity, good for you. Too many people just jump into something because someone told them to. The company was begun in 2007, and after a re-start, it is now in pre-launch as a Network Marketing company. The company was doing almost the same thing a few years ago, and at one time they reportedly had 100,000 active members. This That Free Thing review is objective because I am not a distributor. You don’t have to wonder if I am disguising my opportunity pitch as a review.

What does That Free Thing do? They market Free Stuff to their reps. The free stuff can be almost anything. Maybe it could be free clothes, free travel, free product samples, free trials, or even the free house mentioned on the website. The company gets the free stuff from various companies that give away free samples. They are constantly searching the internet for these freebies, and the reps are given access to them. The That Free Thing opportunity consists of marketing the free stuff to others who also become reps.

That Free Thing is an internet based company, and they can do business anywhere there is free stuff available. Seth Frazier founded the company in 2007. He is known as the “Freebie King” because of his ability to generate free offers from other companies. There isn’t much information available about the people who are behind the company other than Seth Frazier. In fact, at this writing, there is no information as to where the company’s offices are, other than Denver CO. If you are looking for red flags, this might be one. Remember, though, that the company was just re-introduced in March of this year, – just a couple of months ago at this writing.

If you are a That Free Thing distributor, you are called a “FreeLoader”. To become a FreeLoader there is a registration fee of $25.00, and there is a monthly fee of $9.95. Membership in That Free Thing is not one of the free things you get. But it is almost free when compared to other MLM companies. So what do you get? You get 5 free things per week, you can download the free iPhone or Android app, and you have access to training calls/marketing tools. As a business builder there is a video email platform, participation in the TFT 3×8 matrix comp plan, access to a back office, and TFT advertising campaigns.

A 3×8 forced matrix MLM compensation plan is not as common as a binary compensation plan, but they are not unusual. This forced matrix has three generations of matching bonuses. You are paid commissions on both monthly membership fees and new enrollments. One perceived advantage in a forced matrix is spillover. This occurs in a forced matrix when people you did not recruit are placed under you. But don’t think you will be able to do nothing and make money. Most forced matrix plans will compensate you based on your level of participation.

One question I would have for the That Free Thing opportunity is how much income is possible with their small fee structure. I’m not saying you can’t make money in the That Free Thing business, but I am saying you should understand what is possible. To create a large downline team you will probably need to go beyond your warm market. Smart 21st century marketers will market online and off line. To do this you must create a situation where you (not necessarily your MLM company) are attractive to people. This That free Thing review is designed to tell you what the company has and what it doesn’t have. It doesn’t have the ability to help you create your own brand. To do this you will need a top rated Attraction Marketing System. This is how you create an effective downline team and make money even when people do not join your business.
